The greatest racing archive of all time

F1, Indy, Can-Am, LeMans, IMSA, rallying, GP bikes, planes, & people

The greatest racing archive of all timeI came upon this Twitter feed while doing reference photo research for a model car project. What I found was easily the greatest racing car archive of all time. The photos are startlingly good. There are 20 or more photos on each page of the feed and there are 639 pages of photos. Over 15,000 priceless photos from some of the greatest racing photographers of all time.

I could wax poetic about each and every photo, but I won’t do that because it would take far too long. What I will present here is a “small” gallery sample of what is on there.

You’ll find Fangio, Schumacher, Clark, Peterson, the Andrettis, Stewart, Enzo, AJ, Emmo, Dan, Jim, Roger, Mark and Carol. Lotus, Ferrari, Benetton, Chaparral, McLaren, Lola, Aston Martin, Jaguar, Maserati, Mercedes and Shadow. Car shots, race shots, spectator shots. In the pits, in the workshop and on the production line. Airborne, crashed, on fire and upside down.

Call this a lockdown boredom fighter because you might finish browsing about the same time as the pandemic is over. Herewith the link to the greatest racing archive of all time.

You can thank me later.
